You must first choose to "Redeem your McAfee Retail Card" and then type the activation code into the appropriate field. To connect your product key to your account after entering your activation code, click the "Submit" button. If requested, you might need to log into your account.
A store-bought product's activation code must be obtained from a Scratch card that is packaged with the item and entered on the activation site. Additionally, in order to complete the "redeem to activate" process, you must already be in possession of a pre-purchased McAfee product from either an online or physical store.
