Lathe machine is a type of metal cutting machine, which uses corresponding cutters to perform various processes of turning and processing rotating workpiece, mainly processing rotating parts such as shafts, discs, and rings, and is widely used in the processing and manufacturing industry.

Then, as a qualified operator or mechanical engineer, we should master the safe operating procedures of the lathe machine.

1.First of all, before operating the machine, the operator must wear safety equipment. As metal debris may be thrown out during the cutting process when the machine is operating at high speed, it is best for the operator to wear safety glasses;

2.Before operation, it is also necessary to check whether each handle is in its normal position to ensure the cleanliness of the lathe body, spindle sleeve, and chuck. If any foreign matter is found, it should be promptly cleaned;

3.During operation, keep hands and body at a certain distance from the chuck; And keep the buttons and knobs on the lathe stationary;

4. In the shutdown state, move the tool holder to a safe position before measuring the workpiece, or use both hands to pull both ends of the abrasive cloth to polish the surface of the workpiece.

5. The workpiece and turning tool must be installed in the shutdown state, and confirm whether the various indicators of the machine tool are consistent with the workpiece drawings requirement. After inspection, they can operate normally;

6. During the operation of the lathe machine, the operator is not allowed to randomly change gears. To change gears, you must stop and then pull the shift handle.

7."The metal debris generated during cutting cannot be cleaned by hand, but should be promptly removed with a hook.".

8.After using the equipment, cut off the power supply and remove the workpiece.

9.Set the handles of each part to the zero position, organize the tools, measuring tools, materials, and other items, and clean the lathe.
