Electrochemical Deburring

Electrochemical deburring is a precise technique for removing burrs from the components. It uses electrolysis, a process based on the principle of anodic metal dissolution.

The workpiece full of undesired burrs, is attached to an electric circuit and dipped in an electrolyte solution. Meanwhile, an insulated cathodic tool, thoroughly shaped to mirror the contours of the workpiece, serves as the negative electrode. Here electrolysis and cathodic reaction target only the areas afflicted with burrs, preventing any degradation or wear on the rest of the piece.

Mechanical Deburring

Mechanical deburring is an automated way of deburring the machining components and is hence also called Automated Deburring. It is the most efficient method of deburring as well as time-savvy and can be used on a variety of machining operations. The most popular machines of this type are 11 Series and 32 series RB Machines. This method gives full control to the operator.
