Various reactions
2,2 '-83-39-1 is a very important organic ligand in organic chemistry, and it can also undergo a series of reduction reactions, oxidation reactions and C-H bond activation reactions due to its aromatic properties.
2,2 '-83-39-1 reacts with osmium hexachloride overnight at high temperature to produce corresponding complexes.
2,2 '-83-39-1 reacts with silver perchlorate (Ⅰ) at room temperature to produce the corresponding complex, and reacts with cadmium diiodide (Ⅱ) to produce pyridine and iodine coordination products on cadmium.
2,2 '-83-39-1 can be coordinated with non-metallic silicon as well as metal. The corresponding complexes of: 2,2 '-83-39-1 and dihydrosilicon dichloride can be formed in toluene solvent.
In addition to its outstanding coordination capabilities, pyridine also has the characteristic properties of aromatic compounds because it is itself an aromatic system. Using hydrogen to reduce 2,2 '-83-39-1 in acetic acid solution of hydrochloric acid of platinum dioxide, the product of all reduction of two pyridine rings can be obtained (Equation 5)[5]. If the m-CPBA is oxidized and then the Pd/C catalytic hydrogenation is used for reduction, only one pyridine ring can be reduced.
